Full X-ray diagnostics
One of the fundamental and essential elements of orthodontic planning is the evaluation of the Full X-ray. It is advisable to prepare for orthodontic treatment because the specialist will almost certainly ask for this type of X-ray.
Full X-ray is a cross-sectioned image of the skull. The cross-sectioned image shows the profile of the face, the bones and teeth from a side view. The height and length of the jaws are measurable, the inclination of the teeth and their relation to the jaws are visible. In the full X-ray, the individual teeth are not visible separately; they are projected on each other, so this recording is not suitable for analyzing cavities or inflammations around the gums or roots. This recording is made specifically for orthodontic purposes.
X-ray
The full x-ray evaluation difficult task, basically it is the first step in the orthodontic treatment
This is always the task of the orthodontic specialist. Records can be written to a CD on demand, printed in electronic form or on a film.
The angular values typical for a given person help the physician to find the solution and design a plan. By analyzing these angles, planes and points, the specialist can determine what orthodontic treatment is needed, how much should the teeth be moved and tilt and in which direction (in childhood) should be the jaw growth helped in order to obtain measurements within the normal angular range after the treatment is completed.
To see the full picture both the Full X-ray and Panoramic X-ray are needed because the Full X-ray image does not give a good picture of the individual teeth. If a tooth or some teeth seem problematic on the Panoramic X-ray, additional X-rays may be required for more detailed and more accurate orientation; these are called intraoral X-rays, which give a detailed picture of a tooth or two.
