Para nasal sinus X-ray image
On the X-ray photograph of the nasal sinuses the fluid level and the swelling of the mucous membranes in the facial cavities are clearly visible.
The more powerful imaging techniques (CT, MRI) are useful in complicated cases (e.g. in detection of brain abscess) but they are usually not necessary in everyday practice.
